With the introduction of the Softball Ireland Tournament Request Form, SI is hoping to space out the weekend softball all season long. Below are the dates we have so far. In addition to the tournament schedule there are some other key dates to note from Softball Leinster. All the following blitzes have been approved by Softball Ireland and additional tournaments will be added to this list as they are confirmed.

- 4th of March, Saturday – Intermediate Umpire Course @ ALSAA
- 13th March, Monday – Premier League Registration Begins
- 20th March, Monday – Rec League Registration Begins
- 25th March, Saturday – SL Open Training and Recruitment Day @ 11am in Stannaway Park
- 31st March, Friday – Premier League Registration Closes
- 1st April, Saturday – SL Open Training and Recruitment Day @ 11am in St. Annes Park off Sybill Hill Road
- 7th April, Friday – Rec League Registration Closes
- 11th April, Tuesday – Captains Meeting, location TBD
- 24th April, Monday – SL season begins

Blitzes yet to be approved: Castleknock Niall Mellon blitz usually takes place in mid-May, the Castleknock Blitz usually is held in mid-July and Thunderbolts blitz in mid- September. Friday night Game of the week matches, the All-Star day and the other rec matches will be announced later in the season.
There are three softball teams representing Ireland this season; a co-ed team going to Bulgaria, a Fastpitch women’s team heading to Italy and a third team of under 18 junior fastpitch girls playing in the world championship in Florida. All teams wishing to have games rescheduled during the weeks when international tournaments are on must make their request before the 1st of May, and can only make that request if two or more players/coaches are on that team – not the club.

- 25th June to 1st July – Women’s Fastpitch European Cup 2017 in Bollate, Italy
- 10th-15th July – Coed Slowpitch European Championship 2017 in Sofia, Bulgaria
- 24th-30th July – Junior Women’s World Championship in Clearwater, Florida
