90% Chance of Rain, What do we do ?

The weather forecast says 90% chance of rain, Thunder, Cold and sunny, what do we do ?

First thing, is don't believe the weather forecast, when are they ever right!

Second, is still plan to get to the game. The game is only going to be called by the Umpire at the time of the game or if the field is unavailable or unplayable. Give yourself extra time to get to the game as traffic will be worse than normal, bring rain gear but never forget the Sun tan lotion.

Captains if you can keep in touch with the County concil or owners of the ground to see if the grounds are still playable, you can avoid any unnecessary travel. If grounds are made unplayable by the owners let SL know so we can assure opposition and umpires know too.

If the ground is playable then it is up to the Umpire to decide if it is dangerous. Softball can be played in light rain.

Best of luck to division one teams, hopefully it will be as nice as the first two nights of softball.
